Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an HR Manager for a fully remote position in the UK. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, be hands-on, and have strong knowledge of UK employment law. This role includes managing compliance, overseeing onboarding, and leading performance management initiatives. The HR Manager will also deal with restructuring and employee relations. Candidates should have remote management experience and a CIPD qualification (Level 5 or higher) is preferable.

Responsibilities
  • Managing company restructures
  • Ensuring company restructures are managing compliantly
  • Managing redundancy processes
  • Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a positive start for new employees.
  • Employee Relations
  • Advise managers on performance management, coaching, and disciplinary matters.
Performance Management
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of performance appraisal systems.
  • Support managers in setting clear performance goals and providing constructive feedback.
  • Monitor and report on performance trends to drive improvement initiatives.
Compliance and Policy
  • Ensure full compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with best practices.
  • Stay informed on legal and regulatory developments impacting HR operations
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience working in a heavily unionised environment
  • Remote management experience
  • Experience in managing redundancy processes
  • Previous experience conducting and carrying out employee training
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
