Are you an experienced HR Manager with a proven track record of supporting fast-paced, shift-based teams within a distribution or manufacturing environment?

A leading B‑Corp‑certified gourmet food distributor is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join its growing team in North West London. They supply some of the UK's most respected restaurants, chefs and retailers.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, the HR Manager will lead the full HR function, embedding best‑practice people policies that support both commercial performance and B‑Corp values. This is a hands‑on role within a fast‑paced distribution environment, working closely with operational teams across multiple shifts. The role is primarily day‑based, with occasional night shift working required to ensure strong engagement, visibility, and consistent HR support across the full workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop all HR activities, ensuring full compliance with UK employment law
  • Partner with managers on recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention
  • Manage employee relations, including disciplinaries, investigations, and performance management
  • Maintain accurate HR systems and employee data integrity
  • Deliver HR reporting and insights to support operational and strategic decision‑making
  • Provide visible HR support across day and occasional night operations
About You
  • Minimum 5 years' HR management experience, ideally in food, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Proven experience supporting operational and warehouse teams
  • Pragmatic, approachable, and solutions‑focused leadership style
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • CIPD Level 5 or above (preferred)
