A leading recruitment firm is seeking an HR Manager for its international engineering client in Highland region, Scotland. This permanent position offers a flexible hybrid working model and involves overseeing employee relations, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and implementing HR strategy. The ideal candidate will hold a University degree in Human Resources and a CIPD Level 5 qualification. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Job description

FINTEC recruit is seeking an HR Manager for our international engineering client based in Highland region, Scotland. This is a permanent position, salary commensurate with experience; an opportunity for career development into a regional/international role, if not already holding international HR experience. Flexible hybrid working, 40% home working depending on business needs. Working hours Monday to Thursday 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and on Friday finish early at 2:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:
  • Employee relations, working closely with management and employee development
  • Involved in generalist HR activities such as reward & benefits; recruitment & retention of staff; Employment legislation & Laws;
  • Promote HR best practices throughout the organisation and ensure alignment with company values
  • Comply with Health and Safety at Work Act and world-wide HSE Legislation; overseeing HR policies.
  • Comply with Company Management Procedures ;involved in regular safety visits
  • Monitor and appraise the performance of assigned personnel, identifying training needs and implementing development plans.
  • Participate in employee structured induction and probation programmes, including post entry reviews.
  • Implement Group HR strategy across the North Europe region, adapting to local needs where appropriate.
  • Support managers in handling sensitive employment eg sickness, performance, disciplinary or grievance matters.
  • Compliance with data protection and GDPR
Skills and Experience required for the HR Manager role:
  • University degree, ideally majoring in Human Resources management.
  • CIPD graduate qualification Ideally Level 5 in people management CIPD qualification or equivalent.
