HR M&A Manager – Consultancy

  • Interim role, London-based with hybrid working
  • Paying from £700/day to £1000 per day (with some flexibility) depending on experience
  • Length of assignment: 12 months with the possibility of extension

Oakleaf Partnership is working with a leading global Management Consultancy which offers a strong culture and diversity with lots of opportunity to grow. We are seeking an interim HR M&A Manager to join their HR M&A team. This role offers the chance to own and lead a workstream – whether that’s consultations, comms, or organisation design – whilst working closely with senior leaders and clients.

The Opportunity

Managers are trusted to run client workstreams end-to-end, ensuring outputs are delivered to the highest standard. You’ll act as the main client contact on projects, supported by Senior Managers and Directors, while helping to guide consultants and analysts in delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver specific HR workstreams on major M&A transactions.

  • Act as the day-to-day contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and delivery.

  • Manage consultants/analysts where required.

  • Contribute to integration, restructuring, separation, and transformation projects.

  • Produce high-quality outputs in fast-paced deal environments.

Candidate Profile
  • HR consulting experience, ideally with M&A exposure within a global matrix.

  • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage deliverables independently.

  • Knowledge of work councils / unionised environments is essential

  • Clear communicator with high EQ and client engagement skills.

  • Commercial thinker who thrives in dynamic, ambiguous situations.

  • Flexible, resilient, and collaborative, with a focus on quality outcomes.
