Overview

Interim HR Lead (Strategic) – 6 months (with potential extension) – £350-£450 per day – Hybrid - West Midlands Location

Hamilton Woods is partnering with a values-driven housing and property organisation to recruit an Interim HR Lead (Strategic) for an initial 6-month assignment, with the strong possibility of extension.

This is a senior, high-impact role, supporting the organisation through two critical strategic people projects. We are looking for an experienced HR leader who can quickly build credibility, provide clear direction, and deliver tangible outcomes at pace.

Responsibilities
  • Pay & Reward Project - leading a comprehensive review of pay, reward and related structures to ensure fairness, competitiveness and alignment with organisational values and strategy.
  • Framework Implementation - designing and implementing a clear, effective framework that defines "what good looks like" across leadership, behaviours, and ways of working.
  • You will also provide strategic HR leadership, offering challenge, insight and assurance to senior stakeholders while supporting the wider people agenda.
About You / Qualifications
  • Proven experience operating at Head of HR / Senior HR Lead level (or equivalent)
  • A strong track record of delivering strategic HR projects, particularly in pay & reward and organisational frameworks
  • The ability to work autonomously in an interim capacity and quickly add value
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience within social housing is desirable but not essential. We would also welcome applications from candidates with a background in the wider public sector or similarly complex, regulated environments.
