About this role :

The HR Advisor provides experienced, first-line HR support to employees across the UK and their line managers, addressing complex HR queries, managing employee relations issues, and guiding employees through HR policies and procedures. This role serves as a trusted resource within the company, offering employees knowledgeable advice aligned with company policies, and fostering a positive and supportive workplace environment.

Key Accountabilities :

Serve as a primary point of contact for the UK employees and their managers seeking guidance on complex HR topics, workplace issues, and company policies.

Provide HR operational administration support to the employee life cycle (including contracts, onboarding, changes during the life cycle, performance management & development and offboarding) with the company, partnering with the relevant HRBP, UK Payroll, People Services, CoEs and other functions where needed.

Manage employee relations matters within the site, including assisting with conflict resolution, performance discussions, and sensitive workplace topics.

Advise employees and managers on HR policies and procedures, ensuring understanding and compliance across the locations.

Conduct investigations and assist in the resolution of employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and escalated queries, collaborating with plant leadership where necessary.

Collaborate with the reporting manager to improve policies and practices across the country contributing insights from frontline interactions with the employees.

Maintain and update HR documentation and policies, ensuring they are current, accessible, and aligned with regulatory and organisational standards.

  • Support HR initiatives related to employee engagement, culture, health & safety and retention by providing feedback and implementing programmes.

Be the HR Element Owner for J2EE (Journey to Excellence for Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality & Security) to be responsible for the HR and admin aspects related to this initiative, in collaboration with Global Element owners and J2EE site contacts.

Other responsibilities as required.

Skills and Experience Required :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Comprehensive knowledge of HR processes, with full knowledge of methodologies, processes, practices, and atypical issues within human resources and in compliance with UK employment-related legislation.

Ability to operate independently though may seek guidance on atypical or complex HR Generalist conflicts or issues.

Strong accountability for own targets with effective time management skills and agility to adapt to changing circumstances.

Good analytical skills with a proactive approach for frequently conducting detailed analysis and investigation to identify customised solutions for conflicts or problems, flag potential risks, determine best options, and suggest improvements to existing methods.

Strong communication skills for working well with cross‑functional teams to address and resolve shared issues, collaborate on processes or conflict resolution, and interpret or clarify information to enhance understanding.
