Job summary

A leading HR consultancy is seeking an HR Advisor to provide administrative support at their Waltham Abbey site. The role includes managing HR-related queries, aiding recruitment, and ensuring compliance with HR policies. Ideal candidates should have HR experience, especially in logistics, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. The position offers a competitive salary of circa £35,000 and benefits, including annual holiday increase and pension contributions.

Benefits

Holidays – 23 days rising to 25 after 3 years

Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for HR-related queries.
  • Support management through administrative duties.
  • Administer HR documentation, such as contracts.
  • Ensure HR database is accurate and compliant.
  • Assist in recruitment and liaise with agencies.
  • Maintain employee records in HR system.
  • Manage Time & Attendance system.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Manage absences and holidays documentation.
  • Assist in employee relations matters.
  • Support various HR projects and implementations.
  • Help develop HR policies and procedures.
  • Process timesheets timely.
  • Assist in payroll compliance.
  • Support compliance with UK legislation.
  • Assist Operations Manager with investigations.
  • Ensure first aiders & fire marshalls coverage.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to plan and organise work effectively
Good knowledge of MS Excel & Word
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
Proactive and self-starter
Knowledge of HR systems
Experience in HR role in warehousing or distribution

Education

Proven HR experience in a fast-paced environment
Strong English verbal and written skills
Strong numeracy skills
