A fantastic opportunity has come up with our M&S Fashion, Home & Beauty operation in Bradford. We are seeking a talented and passionate individual for the position of HR Advisor. You will play an integral role in providing effective support and guidance to the line managers in all aspects of human resources.

This is a full‑time, 6‑month fixed term contract position. Working hours for this role would need to be flexible, however predominantly Monday to Friday, working 37.5 hours per week.

Pay, benefits and more:

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £34,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 33 days of holiday pay, as well as the option to buy additional days. You'll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle‑to‑work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.

What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Day‑to‑day you will provide a first level advisory service, through a small team, to the site team. You'll be supporting the delivery of the people agenda to align culture, talent, structure and processes
  • Assisting the HR Manager with the site people plan and payroll activities, ensuring accuracy, education and a robust resolution structure from the onsite team
  • You will support the site talent agenda with development, appraisals and succession planning – we also want you to support the leadership team in setting standards and building a positive site culture
  • Ensure legal compliance with all HR and payroll practices and be aware of any employment law changes and update processes as appropriate
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Proven experience in a similar HR Advisory role, ideally with a minimum of CIPD level 3
  • If you're from a warehousing or logistics background this would be a huge plus, although we'll consider applicants from other fast‑paced environments
  • Previous experience of using time and attendance systems will be a big tick for us
  • A positive attitude is a MUST – we work hard, so we need to make sure we love the environment we work in and make sure this flows throughout our workforce
