Job summary

A global manufacturing company in Salford is seeking an experienced HR Advisor for a temporary position that may lead to a permanent role. The successful candidate will assist with recruitment, support onboarding for new hires, and provide guidance on HR policies. Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and a CIPD level 5 qualification are required. The role offers a competitive rate of £15.50 - £17.40 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an advisory, coordinator, or generalist role.
  • Familiarity with UK employment legislation.
  • Good working knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably Workday.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with recruitment by drafting job descriptions and setting up interviews.
  • Supporting onboarding processes for new starters, including carrying out inductions.
  • Providing guidance to managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining and amending employee records as necessary.
  • Offering support to employees when needed.
  • Setting up and coordinating training courses.
  • Contributing ideas and projects to streamline processes and improve employee experience.

Skills

Experience in HR advisory roles

Job description

HR Advisor. Salford. Initially temp for 6 months which may lead to permanent. £15.50 - £17.40 DOE

A global manufacturing company are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to provide support for up to 6 months, initially on a temporary basis but could lead to a permanent job opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with recruitment - drafting job descriptions and setting up interviews
  • Supporting the onboarding process for new starters - carrying out inductions, gaining references and doing RTW checks
  • Offering guidance and advice to Managers on policies and procedures
  • Making any amendments to employee records
  • Providing support to employees if needed
  • Setting up training courses
  • Assisting and contributing to ideas and projects that will streamline processes and improve the experience for employees.

To be successful, you will have previous experience in an advisory, co-ordinator or generalist role, be familiar with UK employment legislation, along with CIPD level 5 and a good working knowledge of HRIS systems - Workday would be an advantage.
