About the Role

We’re supporting a leading architecture and design practice in London that is looking for a proactive and organised HR Administrator who can also provide reception cover during busy periods, lunchtimes, sickness and holidays.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of HR administration, employee lifecycle coordination and front‑of‑house responsibilities — perfect for a confident communicator who thrives in a fast‑paced, people‑centric environment.

The Role – HR Administrator (with Reception Cover)

You’ll support the HR function with day‑to‑day administration, employee records, recruitment coordination and compliance, while also delivering a polished and professional front‑of‑house experience when providing reception cover.

Key Responsibilities
HR Administration
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation.
  • Process HR documents in line with internal regulations.
  • Assist in managing the HR inbox and respond to routine queries.
  • Support probation and annual review processes.
  • Provide general HR administrative support, including help with HR projects.
Recruitment & Employee Lifecycle
  • Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment cycle.
  • Liaise with approved recruiters and coordinate interviews and feedback.
  • Assist with shortlisting candidates.
  • Prepare onboarding packs, schedule inductions and ensure all new starter paperwork is completed.
  • Support the leaver process, including exit interviews and paperwork.
Benefits & Payroll Support
  • Provide information and guidance on employee benefits.
  • Administer benefits including pensions and eye test vouchers.
  • Prepare final payroll paperwork for leavers (P45, payslips).
Compliance
  • Ensure HR processes comply with employment legislation, GDPR and internal policy.
Reception & Front‑of‑House Support
  • Welcome visitors, clients and colleagues professionally.
  • Maintain a tidy, organised reception area.
  • Answer and direct calls efficiently.
  • Manage meeting room bookings, set‑ups and refreshments.
  • Handle post, deliveries and courier bookings.
  • Assist with travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Support document control processes and general administrative duties.
About You
  • Experienced in administration (HR experience desirable).
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident handling confidential information with complete discretion.
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable juggling priorities, using initiative and working independently.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and general office systems.
