Job summary

A local educational institution in Barnsley is seeking a motivated HR Administrator to assist with recruitment processes, maintain employee records, and ensure GDPR compliance. The role requires strong communication, organisational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position is part-time, 32.5 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. A full UK driving licence is essential due to site travel, and the successful candidate will undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Training will be provided both on-site and off the job.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
  • An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
  • Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship completion.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment processes, including requesting references and completing DBS checks.
  • Process DBS applications and monitor DBS status updates.
  • Prepare employment contracts for new starters and update contracts/documents for existing employees.
  • Enter new starters, leavers and staff changes into the HR system.
  • Provide accurate data for payroll.
  • Carry out general administrative duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure GDPR compliance.
  • Support HR functions as required.
