A leading HPC systems integrator seeks an experienced HPC Performance Engineer to support customers by improving application performance. You will work with parallel scientific applications and optimize HPC software solutions using languages like Linux, Python, C, and C++. This position is based in the UK or Ireland with minimal travel required.

High Performance Computing (HPC) Performance Engineer - UK/Ireland

An exciting and brand-new opportunity for experienced HPC Performance Engineer to join one of Europe's leading HPC systems integrators. In this role you will work with customers, supporting them by improving application performance, porting and optimising applications for new platforms and running benchmarks for customer procurements.

You are likely to currently be a technical user of HPC systems in a computational science, mathematical modelling or algorithm development setting or already be working for an HPC software, hardware or system integration company.

You are likely to already have the following skills:

• Experience working with parallel scientific applications
• Solid experience of supporting and optimising HPC software for High Performance Computing (HPC)/supercomputer solutions
• Comfortable using Linux, Python and bash (or similar)
• Programming experience in C, C++, MPI, OpenMP and/or Fortran

This employer is has its headquarters in Germany but are ideally looking to recruit this person to be based in the UK or Ireland. Quarterly trips to the office for company meetings will be the extent of the travel expected.
