Job summary

Are you a band 5 staff nurse who is ready for a new challenge?

We are looking for someone who works hard, is flexible, and supports the smooth running of the HPB service.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all patients referred to the HPB service are appropriately assessed, treated, and followed up.
  • Act on potential risks or concerns to keep patient safety at all times.
  • Support cancer pathways, act when required, and ensure timely adherence.
  • Support patients and their families throughout the HPB pathways and treatment plans for benign and cancer patients.
  • Liaise with regional teams to ensure the smooth transition of care to the specialist centre and referral back; identify and act on any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure all investigations and results are obtained as required.
  • Support team members in providing patient care and carry out MDT outcomes to prevent cancer breaches.
