Neway Recruitment have an exciting job opportunity for a Housing Advice & Homeless Prevention Officer to join our client based with the London Borough of Hillingdon.


Location: Hillingdon


Contract Type: Agency Worker (Inside IR35)


Hours: 36 per week | Monday–Friday | 09:00–17:00


Pay Rate: £22.98 PAYE | £30.00 Umbrella/Ltd



Role Overview

The London Borough of Hillingdon is seeking an experienced and resilient Housing Advice & Homeless Prevention Officer to join their Homes & Communities team. This is a fast-paced, frontline role supporting vulnerable residents through homelessness prevention and statutory housing assessments.



Key Responsibilities


  • As part of the Housing Options Duty Service, you will: Conduct homelessness assessments and prevention/relief work

  • Manage a varied caseload with efficiency and empathy

  • Carry out enquiries and draft s184 decision letters

  • Apply knowledge of relevant legislation including Part VII Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act

  • Deliver high-quality service under pressure, balancing multiple demands
