Job description
Overview

We are looking for housekeepers to join our existing team to help ensure all areas are kept to the highest standard at Savernake Hospital, Marlborough between Monday to Friday. We are looking for two part‑time roles as follows:

  • 20 hours per week (part‑time)

We couldn’t run our sites without you and the fantastic work you will do keeping our wards, departments and areas clean, tidy, reducing the risk of infections and effectively helping keep our staff well and our patients safe. Our people are working hard behind the scenes to provide safe, clean, well maintained environments for patients and their NHS colleagues during this challenging time. You will become part of a team who are passionate about supporting the NHS and its people in their vital work by keeping premises clean and safe. This role requires you to have current right to work in the UK which enables you to undertake the role without need of sponsorship. Accordingly, we regret that any application will not be considered if this requirement is not met. Given the current UK immigration requirements this role is not eligible for sponsorship, and it is not possible for the Trust to sponsor applicants for a visa for this role.

Responsibilities
  • To undertake cleaning duties throughout the health care premise, which may include wards, clinical departments, offices, kitchens, sanitary and communal areas.
  • To empty, clean, and re‑line general and clinical waste bins, segregating waste for disposal to appropriate holding bins.
  • To replenish supplies of soap, toilet rolls, paper towels, etc.
  • To undertake, as required, preparation of items for meal and beverage service such as the setting of tables, trays and trolleys, and the filling and dishwashing of water jugs - clearing and washing them after use.

Our STAR values - Service, Teamwork, Ambition and Respect - are a golden thread running through everything we do. These values serve as a guiding principle, driving us towards our vision of delivering great joined up services to our local community. Whether at home, in the community, or within the hospital, our goal is to empower individuals to lead independent and healthier lives.
