Perm Contract on Days (Flexible on Hours)

Abbotsleigh Mews is a purpose-built care home, welcoming those in need of nursing, residential and dementia care. Short stay, convalescence and palliative care also available. The home is arranged into different houses for different types of care and is surrounded by beautiful landscaped grounds. Residents also have a choice of lounge and dining areas, a sensory room and activities rooms. Registered nurses and well-trained care assistants know that it's important to create a friendly atmosphere at the home, giving all residents as much independence as possible, while also making sure that they have all the care and help they require. Residents are served nutritious meals that are tailored to individual diet plans. Afternoon tea and fresh fruit platters are popular, as are homemade cakes. A versatile activities programme aims to help residents maintain their independence as long as possible. Residents can enjoy a wide range of hobbies, coffee mornings, outings, music and other games, arts and crafts as well as weekly visits from the neighbouring nursery and part of an ongoing initiative to help bring old and young people together.

You’ll help us make health happen by:
  • You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home, working closely with our other housekeeping and maintenance staff
  • Always ensuring our residents are kept happy, you will vacuum, mop floors, polish and generally ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and our resident's bedrooms
  • You’ll maintain housekeeping stocks for day to day use and raise any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor as you go
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you'll be comfortable multitasking and where necessary, working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their home.
