Job description
Overview

As a Waste Operative, you\'ll play a key role in supporting the public to dispose of their waste responsibly, while helping to maximise opportunities for re-use and recycling. You\'ll work under the guidance of the Centre Supervisor and Waste Operations Officers to ensure the site operates safely, efficiently, and in line with environmental and health & safety standards. You\'ll also assist with the day-to-day running of the Re-use Shop at Tattershall HWRC, contributing to initiatives that promote waste minimisation, recycling, and deliver social value to Lincolnshire residents. As part of the team, you\'ll:

  • Welcome and assist the public with correct waste disposal
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised site
  • Support the Supervisor in responding to on-site issues or emergencies
  • Help with the sorting and presentation of items for re-use and recycling
