Overview

We're looking for a Hotel Sales Manager to join our team to assist the Hotel and Head of Sales in sourcing new leads and business opportunities. This role will be focused on all market segments and geographical areas, including the international luxury leisure market, national and local corporate companies and various industry sectors. The role involves focused research using local knowledge and contacts, the internet and social media platforms.

As a Hotel Sales Manager you'll have experience in proactive sales, ideally within the hospitality sector, but not essential. The candidate must exude great customer service skills, with a natural passion and enthusiasm for sales and relationship building. You will be highly driven, tenacious and motivated by success, with a professional telephone manner. Working directly with the Head of Sales, General Manager and other key stakeholders, you'll be fundamental in ensuring all key business opportunities are identified and exploited.

You will be responsible for implementing sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, and drive food & beverage and banquet sales. You'll develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts to produce group and/or convention business, including room sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet services. Proven experience in achieving budgeted revenues and personal/team sales goals to maximise profitability. You'll also be responsible for researching & delivering market intelligence and new business updates using Google Alerts and in developing strong local product and competitor knowledge.
