Hospitality and Retail Tutor – Manchester (Multiple Sites)

Contract: 12-month FTC, potential permanent

Salary: £27,583 + £3,750 car allowance

Cohorts: Up to 25 learners, fast-paced delivery over a maximum of 3 weeks

Requirement: Assessor award (or working towards one)

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Learning Coach to deliver Adult Education vocational programmes across Hospitality, Stewarding, Retail, and related areas. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality learning, ensuring strong learner progress, and meeting quality and funding requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of learners and carry out regular interventions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate evidence for achievement, funding, and Ofsted.
  • Support learners with tailored Individual Learning Plans, including English, Maths, and Digital Skills where required.
  • Motivate and engage learners, identifying and removing barriers to progress.
  • Plan assessments and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with IQA staff and stakeholders to maintain quality and generate learner progressions.
  • Produce reports linked to KPIs and contribute to high‑quality learning materials.
  • Model positive behaviours in line with our client's values.
Financial Responsibility
  • Ensure timely starts, completions, and evidence to support funding claims.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant vocational experience and higher‑level qualification or updated CPD.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT (or equivalent).
  • Strong communication, coaching ability, and excellent organisational skills.
Desirable
  • Coaching qualification, PGCE, or teaching qualification.
  • Assessor qualification (TAQA, AVA, A1, D32/33).
  • Knowledge of government‑funded training and supporting learners into employment.
