Overview

As a Care Home Manager at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. The role involves taking responsibility for the well-being of Residents, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met, leading and mentoring your team, and delivering clinical guidance and training to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the care home. You will carry out assessments, develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans, monitor work areas and practices for safety and compliance, and promote Residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the highest standards of care and continuous improvement.

The position offers you a chance to lead provision through effective leadership and home management. You’ll ensure we have the best people on-site, delivering a truly empathic service, champion Resident wellbeing, establish a vision and development plan for the home, and conduct quality assurance monitoring to exceed regulatory standards with kindness at the core.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate and mentor the care team; provide clinical guidance and training
  • Carry out assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for Residents
  • Monitor work areas and practices to ensure safety and compliance with standards, policies and legislation
  • Promote Residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect; strive for continuous improvement
  • Lead provision through effective home management and ensure on-site staffing levels meet needs
  • Champion resident wellbeing and contribute to quality assurance and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with current PIN on the NMC register
  • Registered Manager Award Level 4, or Leadership and Management in Care Level 4/5, or willingness to study for one
  • Leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams and conducting risk assessments
  • Strong communication with residents and co-workers; demonstrates kindness and consideration
  • Safeguarding awareness; ability to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do; attendance at safeguarding training and ongoing development
