Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Carer - Care Assistant to join our team, providing essential support to individuals in their homes during weekends in Hinckley and Nuneaton. As a valued member of our care team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in familiar surroundings.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, adhering to dietary requirements
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments or social activities when required
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or unexpected situations
Qualifications
  • Excellent personal care skills and basic medical knowledge
  • Strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy, patience, and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Previous experience in home care or similar healthcare roles (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (preferred)
  • Understanding of elderly care and knowledge of common health conditions
  • Ability to travel between Hinckley and Nuneaton
  • Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours
  • Clean criminal record and the right to work in the UK
  • A driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential)
