Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Poole is seeking a part-time Healthcare Assistant. The role involves supporting frail and complex patients in their homes while working under the supervision of trained nurses. Responsibilities include providing clinical care, facilitating communication, and assisting families. Qualifications include a minimum NVQ level 2 and phlebotomy skills. Applicants must have prior experience in an NHS/Primary Care role and be able to work flexibly across designated days.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an NHS/Primary Care role.
• Experience of working under own direction.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical care for patients with frail/complex needs.
• Establish communication with patients and health professionals.
• Assist families in managing long-term conditions.
• Identify and address social isolation among patients.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to use own initiative

Experience in Community/Primary Healthcare

Ability to self motivate

Education

Qualification in Healthcare (minimum NVQ level 2)

Qualified in Phlebotomy

Tools

IT systems including Word
