Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a rewarding role in a primary school? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a supportive team and make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs. In this role you will be supporting a variety of year groups.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver planned lessons and interventions under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Lead small group and one-to-one sessions to support learning and development.
  • Cover whole classes during teacher absence.
  • Adapt resources and activities to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and promote positive behaviour.
  • Assist with personal care and emotional regulation where required.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to teachers and SENCO.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the preparation of classroom materials and displays.
  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times.
Requirements
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working with children or vulnerable adults with complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Employment references covering the last 24 months.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Safeguarding training.
