Smile Education is recruiting a confident and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across Key Stage 2 in a welcoming primary school in Walsall. This is a full-time, long-term role with an immediate start. The role is also open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are looking to gain valuable additional classroom experience within KS2.

Key Responsibilities

• Covering classes across KS2 in the absence of the class teacher
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and supporting pupil progress
• Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups where required
• Managing classroom behaviour confidently and effectively
• Working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders

Requirements

• HLTA status OR QTS (ECTs welcome)
• Experience or strong confidence working across Key Stage 2
• Comfortable delivering lessons to whole classes
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to commit to a full-time, long-term position
