Overview

Reeson Education is delighted to be recruiting for a HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to join a thriving and supportive primary school in the Portsmouth area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated HLTA to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing educational environment.

HLTA Role

We are looking for a HLTA who is:

  • Highly motivated and skilled.
  • Passionate about supporting young learners.
  • Able to lead and support pre-planned learning sessions.
  • Confident in providing cover for lessons when needed.

As a HLTA, you will play a key role in advancing pupil learning and supporting classroom delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • Support pupils with special educational needs through tailored learning programmes.
  • Contribute to the setting and reviewing of individual education plan (IEP) targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate pupil progress during learning activities.
  • Deliver learning to individuals, small groups, and whole classes in the absence of the assigned teacher.
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to support pupil development.
