Full-Time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Secondary School - Wirral

Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in the classroom every day? We're looking for a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Wirral, helping pupils thrive and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects
  • Leading small group interventions and sometimes covering whole classes when required
  • Providing one-to-one support for students who need a little extra help
  • Encouraging students to stay motivated, focused, and confident in their learning
  • Bringing positivity, patience, and energy into every school day
Qualifications and requirements
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm during term time
  • HLTA status or equivalent experience supporting teaching and learning in a secondary setting
  • Confidence working with pupils aged 11-16 across different ability levels
  • A team player who is flexible, reliable, and passionate about helping young people succeed
