Salary: MPS / UPS (London Fringe)

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of History to join a high-performing Humanities department at a welcoming secondary school in Redhill, Surrey.

This is a 0.8 FTE fixed-term position, starting in January 2026 and running through to the end of the Summer Term. The role would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to gain further classroom experience in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan, prepare and assess in line with departmental and national curriculum standards
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and the success of the Humanities faculty
  • Inspire pupils to develop a strong interest in historical learning and critical thinking
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching History to GCSE level (A Level desirable)
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
