A leading plant and tool hire company in the UK is seeking a Hire Controller to manage depot operations and enhance customer service. The role involves overseeing hire fleet stock, handling inquiries, and supporting business growth initiatives. Candidates should possess excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills. Prior experience in a similar role is essential, and a background in construction is desirable. The Hire Controller role provides a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success as the business continues an exciting growth plan. This is a pivotal role within the depot, working both internally, operationally and directly with customers. Through providing opportunities to evolve the depot’s customer service delivery, you will be strengthening our market presence by being responsible for the smooth running of the Hire Desk and control of all hires coming in and out of the depot.
A background in construction or plant and tool knowledge is desirable, but not essential to succeed in this role. Demonstratable experience within a similar ‘hire operations’ role is essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm
