A prominent mental health service provider in Tooting is seeking a Band 7 Speech & Language Therapist to assess and support young children with neurodevelopmental disorders. The ideal candidate will work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide assessments for ASD and ADHD, contributing to holistic care plans and interventions. The CYP Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team is one of three dedicated services formed from the 2014 service transformation model which features dedicated and local services in the directorate. We are an expanding, highly specialist team, combining expertise in CYP neurological disorders with specialist mental health assessment skills.
We are seeking a Band 7 Speech & Language Therapist (0.6 FTE) with an interest in neurodevelopmental disorders and related experience. As the successful post holder, you will be contributing to completing assessments for ASD and ADHD, using your expertise within the CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team. You will join a multi-disciplinary team made up of psychologists, psychiatrists and nurses and work alongside assistant psychologists in the team. There is hope the service will continue to expand to meet the demand. The successful post-holder will receive clinical supervision from a clinical psychologist experienced in neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as group supervision from the team.
The post holder would be part of the dynamic allied health professional workforce in the Trust and be able to access development and CPD opportunities (e.g. ADOS training).
