Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 4)

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

We are seeking to appoint a creative, dynamic and experienced professional to join our Wellbeing Team within our fully inclusive school for primary aged pupils with complex learning difficulties.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Is committed to making a difference to the lives of children with complex needs.
  • Is passionate about safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion.
  • Will play a key role in promoting and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all pupils by ensuring that safeguarding policies and practices are effectively implemented, monitored, and reviewed.
  • Is confident working in a classroom environment supporting children with a diverse range of needs.
  • Has high standards and expectations in all aspects of school life.
  • Has excellent communications skills and experience of working with families and the wider multi-disciplinary team.

The successful candidate for this post will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and the Police Act Regulations. We also undertake a Health Check, Teachers’ Prohibited check where applicable, a Children’s Regulations 2009 and a Social Media check for all posts. References for shortlisted candidates will be sought before interviews. Other checks required for the position will also be undertaken. It is a criminal offence to apply for this position if you are barred from working with children.
