The Opportunity:

Long Term Futures are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a vibrant primary school in Newham. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and capable practitioner who enjoys leading learning, supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, and contributing to whole-school success.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead whole-class and small-group sessions across EYFS-KS2.
  • Work closely with teachers to support planning, assessment, and classroom delivery.
  • Provide targeted interventions to help pupils meet learning milestones.
    Model positive behaviour and support pupil wellbeing.
  • Assist with creating engaging learning resources and maintaining a purposeful classroom environment.
Requirements:
  • HLTA qualification or significant primary school experience.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Confidence delivering learning independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, initiative, and a warm, supportive approach.
