A large primary school located in Birkenhead (CH41) is currently looking to employ an experienced HLTA on a fixed-term contract starting from October 2025 with the view to last the academic year (with the possibility of this being made a permanent position).
If you are seeking a highly active and involved role that offers daily opportunities, challenges and the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of children who need extra support, this may be a good fit.
The role involves providing temporary cover for PPA and absences across both KS1 and KS2. Experience of working across both key stages would be beneficial. The school values a warm and welcoming culture and expects the successful candidate to demonstrate these values in their teaching practice.
Suitable candidates will have HLTA level qualifications (or equivalent) or be an Early Career Teacher seeking broader experience across the primary phases before a full classroom teaching role. Experience working with children with SEN is beneficial, particularly given the school has a higher-than-average proportion of disadvantaged pupils.
