Job description

Coba education is currently recruiting for Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work with our client school in Kettering.

The Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) role is a supply role which will see the successful candidate working in a primary setting.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will enjoy a well-balanced lifestyle, choosing your working days/hours and building upon your career. We are looking for experienced HLTAs who can actively participate and work as part of the primary school team, providing education and care for children aged 4-11 years. You will be part of a dedicated support team providing support to students with a wide range of special educational, learning behavioural and emotional needs.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant responsibilities include:
  • Working under the supervision of the Class Teacher to plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities
  • Implementing plans/programmes by working with individuals and groups of children to ensure that children's educational and personal needs are met, and the school's curriculum is delivered effectively
  • Working flexibly with Groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Maintaining the learning environment and record keeping
  • To promote the development of students' self-reliance, self-esteem and emotional resilience
  • To develop positive working relationships with students, parents/carers and members of staff

We are initially looking for day to day cover when needed and for the right candidate this could lead to long term or permanent employment.
