We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils across KS1 and KS2.

Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Burnley

Contract Type: Full-time

Salary: £14.50 - £15 per hour

Start Date: Monday 3rd November 2025

Responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning across the school, working with individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
  • Lead planned learning activities under the guidance of teachers.
  • Cover classes in the teacher's absence, ensuring continuity of learning.
  • Provide targeted interventions to help pupils make progress.
  • Support the wider school community and contribute to the life of the school.
About You
  • Holds HLTA status (or equivalent qualification/experience).
  • Has proven experience working with primary-aged children.
  • Can demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Is adaptable, resilient, and committed to helping every child achieve their best.
  • Works well as part of a team and can use their initiative when required.
