Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a specialist SEND environment? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a committed and skilled HLTA to join a well‑established SEND school on the Wirral, supporting pupils with complex needs. This is a long‑term role starting ASAP, offering the chance to work in a warm, supportive and highly collaborative setting.

The Role

• Deliver planned lessons and lead small‑group interventions
• Support pupils with communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to create a consistent, nurturing environment
• Help adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual needs
• Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in every learner

What we're looking for

• Experience supporting children with SEND (ASD, SLD, PMLD, SEMH or complex needs)
• HLTA qualification or strong TA experience with confidence leading learning
• A patient, resilient and child‑centred approach
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
