Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Birmingham is inviting applications for a LED Higher position within its Chemical Pathology Department. This role involves participating in outpatient clinics for metabolic disorders under consultant supervision, providing clinical advice on biochemical tests, and contributing to guideline development. The successful candidate should have full GMC registration, relevant clinical experience, and knowledge of clinical biochemistry. This is a full-time, fixed-term role for 12 months, with a competitive salary of £65,048 per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' post-foundation clinical experience.
• Understanding of principles of clinical biochemistry and laboratory medicine.
• Previous experience of research and audit.

Responsibilities

• Participate in outpatient clinics under supervision.
• Provide clinical advice on biochemical test selection.
• Contribute to clinical guidelines and protocols.
