High Level Teaching Assistant – Part-time, long-term temporary and ongoing starting January 2026


This is an excellent opportunity for a High Level Teaching Assistant to join a school that provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Duties as High Level Teaching Assistant:
  • Support teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2, delivering interventions and small group sessions
  • Assist teachers in planning and preparing lessons, adapting resources for individual needs
  • Cover classes when required, ensuring continuity of learning
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to teachers and senior staff
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom
  • Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing practices across the school
Ideal High Level Teaching Assistant:
  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent is desirable
  • Previous experience as a HLTA or in a similar role within a primary setting
  • Ability to lead small groups and deliver planned interventions confidently
