About The Role

HGV Vehicle Technician.

Location: South Cerney.

Salary: £43,490 - £44,715 per annum after successful probation (including shift allowance & tool allowance).

Hours: 42 hours per week.

Contract: Permanent.

We are looking for an enthusiastic HGV Vehicle Technician to join our hard‑working, highly successful team, providing excellent front‑line services across Gloucestershire. Ubico Ltd is a rapidly expanding, local‑authority‑owned company.

Reporting to the Fleet Workshop & Maintenance Manager, you will carry out inspections, servicing, repairing and maintaining HGV and light vehicles, plant and equipment to required standards in line with compliance and Health & Safety regulations and procedures.

You will need
  • City & Guilds Craft Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent.
  • Experience of understanding vehicle inspections, servicing and repairing of motor vehicles; working on a mixed fleet would be a distinct advantage.
  • Good communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and a flexible approach to work.
  • Full valid driving licence.
  • Live within a 15‑mile radius of GL7.
  • Desirable but not essential as training could be provided – HGV Category C Licence.
