Job summary

A leading vehicle manufacturer in Inverness seeks an experienced HGV Technician. Responsibilities include repairing and servicing vehicles, assisting with diagnostics, and supporting apprentices. Qualifications

  • Hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
  • Previous experience working on HGVs or completed an apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures.
  • Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
  • Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets.
  • Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license).
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns.
  • Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately.
  • Report all vehicle defects.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workshop facilities, equipment, and tools.
  • Support the development of trainees and apprentices.

Overview

HGV Technician - Inverness

£1,000 signing bonus payable after 6 months service!

Earning between £45k to £60k!!

Opportunity of overtime available @ time and a half or double time!

Working hours - rotating weekly:

  • Day shift: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM–2:30 PM
  • Back shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM; Friday, 2:00 PM–9:30 PM

Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and have previous experience working on HGVs or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry?

Responsibilities
  • Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
  • Assist in the fault diagnosis process
  • Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets
  • Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns
  • Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
  • Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
  • Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well-maintained
  • Help us in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices
Qualifications

Do you hold a a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and have previous experience working on HGVs or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry?
