Job summary

A leading recycling and waste management business in Scotland is seeking an HGV Technician. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles, diagnosing mechanical issues and conducting inspections. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge in vehicle mechanics, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be proficient with hand tools. Qualifications

Shift Pattern: 4-day week, 10-hour shifts
Salary: £40,500 per annum (Dependent on experience) Plus Overtime Available

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Conduct inspections and identify any necessary repairs or replacement
  • Fabricate and weld components as needed
  • Assemble and disassemble vehicle part
  • Use hand tools and equipment to complete tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed
What Are We Looking For?
  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role
  • Proficient in using hand tools and equipment
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and electrical systems
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
  • Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
