Job summary

A leading environmental services company in Stourbridge seeks an experienced HGV Technician to repair and maintain a diverse fleet of vehicles, with a competitive pay rate of £20.06 per hour plus benefits. Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an HGV Mechanical Fitter / Technician is essential.
  • HGV driving licence is desirable.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet according to standards.
  • Run diagnostics using various equipment.
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on hydraulics, electrics, and pneumatics.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and time sheets.
  • Carry out HGV MOT inspections and preparations.

2x Sundays rate

2x Bank Holiday working plus Veolia benefits plus TOIL. Also the following allowance

Sign-on and retention bonus of £3,000

Hours : 40 hours per week Monday - Friday - AM starts

Location : Garrison Street, Birmingham,B9 4BN

Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
  • Run diagnostics on vehicles using a range of equipment.
  • Hydraulic, electrics, pneumatics diagnostics and repairs.
  • Other general work as required by the Workshop Management Team.
  • Work within Health & Safety regulations and be responsible for your safety and those around you.
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork, and time sheets are completed accurately.
  • Carry out HGV MOT inspections and preparations. (IRTEC Licence preferred however we can provide training)
  • Complete roadside repairs when necessary (Training to be provided)
Qualifications
  • Essential
    • Previous experience as an HGV Mechanical Fitter / Technician.
  • Desirable
    • Hold a HGV driving licence
    • NVQ L3 or equivalent
