Qualifications

  • Experience as a vehicle technician with a relevant up-to-date qualification.
  • Experience in a fleet or commercial environment working on HGVs.
  • HGV Class 1 Driving licence preferred.
  • Experience with Tail lifts desirable.

Overview

HGV Technician — Location: Erith. Salary: £25.00 per hour plus bonus and overtime. Shifts: Sunday to Thursday 10:00-18:30. Ref: 28487.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Requirements
  • You will need to have experience as a vehicle technician and a relevant and up to date qualification. City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification is essential
  • Experience within a fleet or commercial environment working on HGVs
  • HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred
  • Experience with Tail lifts is desirable
