Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a HGV Mechanic required.

Job description

Working on the Mick George Group fleet of HGV's you will complete fault finds through inspections and diagnosing any required work. Carry out services, maintenance and repairs to the vehicles to a high standard. Prepare the vehicles for MOTs. Liaising with the Commercial Workshop Manager to ensure parts are ordered and delivered within a timely manner. Taking responsibility for work load with maximum efficiency. Maintaining the working environment to ensure workplace safety and equipment longevity. Complete all required paperwork for all work carried out on the HGV.

The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience as a HGV Mechanic with a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification. We are seeking someone who can work independently and work well within a team.

  • Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification
  • Full UK drivers licence
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on a varied fleet of HGVs
  • Ability to diagnose problems effectively and carry out necessary repairs
  • To service vehicles in line with manufacturers recommendations to main dealer standard
  • Fault finding using electrical diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent communication skills

Pay: Dependent on experience, to be discussed at an interview.
