• Prepare and present vehicles for annual MOT tests.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and body system issues.

HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter to provide service, maintenance, and breakdown support for an internal fleet of commercial vehicles.

Potential flexibility with shifts to offer a permanent early or permanent late shift if preferred.

Starting rate of up to £22.95 per hour with an annual rate of £47,736

HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter Duties

• Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles
• Trouble shoot breakdowns
• Prepare and present vehicles for annual MOT tests
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and body system issues
• Accurately record maintenance, repairs, and parts usage

HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter Experience Required

• Qualifications in vehicle maintenance or qualified by experience working on HGV’s
• Strong technical and product knowledge
• Excellent diagnostic and computer skills
• Any knowledge / experience of refuse collection vehicles is desirable but not essential
