Our Workshop team plays a vital role in supporting the front-line services that keep our district running - and now, we're looking for someone like you to help us continue that mission. We are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join our Operations team. This is a pivotal role where you'll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant, and equipment, ensuring they meet Department for Transport MOT Test standards and remain safe, reliable, and compliant. Working closely with our Workshop Manager, you will use your technical expertise to inspect, diagnose, and repair a variety of equipment. Your work will directly support essential council services and help ensure we deliver the best possible value and service to the public.
For many of our roles, our hybrid work model enables employees to work remotely while allowing for in-office collaboration opportunities across the district, with an expectation of being in the office at least two days a week. However, please note that some positions may require a more consistent presence in the office due to the nature of the work.
