Job summary

A commercial vehicle dealership is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their team in Felixstowe. The role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics in a busy workshop environment. Candidates should hold a City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics and have experience in a fleet or dealership setting. Job Role: HGV Mechanic

Location: Felixstowe

Salary: £21.00 per hour + Overtime paid at £31.50 per hour

Hours: 7am to 3:30pm week 1 and 3:30pm to 12am week 2 - Monday to Friday

About the Company

The client is a commercial vehicle dealership; they are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their team at their state-of-the-art depot.

Responsibilities
  • You will be based in a busy workshop environment.
  • You will be required to undertake all levels of maintenance, repairs and major overhauls.
  • You will be required to complete standard servicing and diagnostics.
  • You must be capable of following the repair process from fault analysis to completion.
Qualifications
  • Be apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
  • Experience working as an HGV Mechanic in a fleet or dealership environment.
  • Having a C + E (class 1) driving licence is beneficial but not essential.
