Job Title: HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver

Location: Canvey Island

Salary: £16.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am start, 36 hours per week

My client, a well respected local authority, is recruiting for HGV Class 2 Dustcart Drivers to join their team in Canvey Island.

As an HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver, you will play a key role in supporting local services by carrying out waste and recycling collections safely and efficiently. Drivers may also be required to assist with loading, so a flexible and team focused approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a HGV Class 2 Dustcart across local collection routes
• Ensuring all waste and recycling collections are completed safely and on schedule
• Assisting with loading duties when required
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous dustcart driving experience is desirable
• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good knowledge of Castle Point borough and surrounding routes is an advantage
