Overview

We’re recruiting an IMI Level 3 qualified Heavy Mechanic at Preston Workshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £70k per annum including overtime (shift depending).

What’s the role?

With a Fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including traditional fuel and electric vehicles, LCVs and HGVs, maintaining our vehicles is a team effort. We’re modernising our fleet and you’ll have the chance to work on a variety of makes and models.

• Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance and repair procedures on vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
• Use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair of light/heavy goods vehicles.
• Have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.

About you

• Qualified mechanic: fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent) with your own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience on a wide range of vehicles.
• Valid UK driving licence: full manual UK driving licence, preferably with HGV licence and trailer experience.
• High working standards: pride in your work and commitment to getting the job done effectively.
• Flexible to service demands: able to work on a flexible shift rota and support the team as needed.
