Job summary

A reputable plant hire and maintenance company in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter to repair and maintain heavy plant machinery. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in hydraulic systems and diesel engines, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Candidates with experience in brands such as JCB, Hitachi, and Volvo are highly desirable. This is a long-term opportunity with a structured work schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of heavy plant mechanics with a focus on hydraulic systems and diesel engines.
• Prior experience working with brands such as JCB, Hitachi, Volvo, CAT, and Kubota is highly desirable.
• Must follow site safety protocols and ensure all plant is operating to a safe standard.
• Capable of working independently or as part of a small team.

Heavy Plant Fitter

Cardiff | Monday - Friday | 7 : 30am - 4 : 30pm | Workshop

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of our client; a reputable and growing plant hire and maintenance company, for experienced Heavy Plant Fitters based in Cardiff.

You will be responsible for the repair, service, and maintenance of a wide range of heavy plant machinery, both in the workshop and occasionally out on site.

The Role

Troubleshooting : you'll carry out diagnostics and fault finding on mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems across various plant machinery.

Equipment : typical machines include excavators, telehandlers, rollers, dumpers, and crushers from a variety of well-known manufacturers.

Required Skills & Experience

Mechanical Knowledge : strong understanding of heavy plant mechanics with a focus on hydraulic systems and diesel engines.

Brand Experience : prior experience working with brands such as JCB, Hitachi, Volvo, CAT, and Kubota is highly desirable.

Health & Safety : you will follow site safety protocols and ensure all plant is operating to a safe standard.

Independent Working : the ideal candidate will be a reliable and proactive individual capable of working independently or as part of a small team.

Additional Information
