Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a reactive environment.

  • Drivers CPC and CPCS preferred.

  • Deliver parts and materials to operational sites safely and timely.
  • Document daily pre‑operational checks.
  • Adapt to changing environments on site.

Skills

Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points), Class C LGV
Allmi accredited lorry loader licence or equivalent
Experience with Hiab lorry loaders
Excellent communication skills
Physically fit to perform heavy lifting
Experience preparing basic and complex lifting plans
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Deliver parts and materials to operational sites safely and timely, performing specialist lifting services.
  • Ensure personal and others’ health and safety, risk management, and compliance with the Safety Policy; maintain safe, tidy, and organised central stores and secure delivery locations.
  • Contribute to efficient use of resources, undertake all vehicle and equipment checks, and demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety requirements for lifting operations and LOLER regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the yard.
  • Adhere to safety instructions on site.
  • Document daily pre‑operational checks.
  • Use FLT for material handling of larger goods.
  • Use initiative to react to changing environments or situations on site and adapt accordingly.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points), Class C LGV.
  • Allmi accredited lorry loader licence or equivalent, or accredited lorry loader licence (unlimited class level) if applicable.
  • Experience with Hiab lorry loaders (winch) via remote control.
  • Experience with lorry‑mounted cranes, preparation of lifting plans in various situations.
  • Experience working as part of an effective team in a reactive environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Physically fit to perform heavy lifting.
  • Drivers CPC (preferred).
  • CPCS (preferred).
  • ALLMI accredited (preferred).
  • Experience preparing basic and complex lifting plans.
  • Previous experience in water or wastewater sectors or broader utilities, process or manufacturing industries.
